I have been writing poetry for many years and am proud that some of my poems have been published in a variety of magazines and anthologies, and even in the Providence Journal.
I am leery of publishing my poetry here due to copyright concerns, but can at least offer a list of my credits below.

As a performance poet, I have featured and performed across the country, including in Asheville (NC), Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Red Bank (NJ) and Providence. I was a featured performer in the Rhode Island Theatre Ensemble's "Rite of Spring: A Celebration of the Arts" 2006 production. Finally, my poem, "Titles on My Bookshelves" was turned into a short film by Erica Collins (with voice over by yours truly) and selected for the 2006 Rhode Island International Film Festival.

As the founder and host of The Spoken Word Poetry Series (Providence, RI 1992), I published four poetry anthologies of the poets who attended the weekly series. I also co-founded the Providence Poetry Slam in 1992. I have taught creative writing at the Hartford College for Women and Hamden Adult Education. I work part-time as a Writing Specialist in the Academic Center for Excellence at Bryant University. Currently, I am working on a series of memoir stories/poems.
